Edthena is a professional development tool for teachers that guides teachers through self-observation and action planning for their classrooms. It develops instructor's metacognitive skill by allowing them to view their class recordings and reflect on their performance with guided reflection questions. For exmaple, they can set timestamp on the recording and leave notes on where they successfully raised student engagement in class. The reflection log will allow teachers to evaluate their learning progress and adjust their learning strategies.

Principle Definition
Guide learners to recognize and think about their own learning processes. Learners need explicit training on cognitive processes and optimal learning strategies to allocate study time effectively and become aware of what they don't know. Metacognitive skills will help learners transfer to new situations without the need for explicit prompting.
